Postcards from Home Workshop – April

CUT-OUT ANIMATION WORKSHOP

18.00-20.00 CET (17.00 GMT/ 19.00 EET), FRIDAY 23rd APRIL

Cut-out animation is a form of stop-motion animation using flat characters, props and backgrounds cut from materials such as paper, card, stiff fabric or photographs.

In this workshop, we will learn how to use cut-out objects to bring our Postcards from Home to life, manipulating characters’ movements to walk, jump, crawl and fly. To celebrate all the things we’ve done – or missed – during the pandemic.

You will need a smart phone (or a tablet) for this workshop, and a free version of Stop Motion Studio – the rest will be taught step-by-step during the session. If you are really eager, you can take a peek at tutorials on Stop Motion Studio’s website or user examples on YouTube.
