SUMMARY:Weeks of amateur culture 2024
DESCRIPTION:Around 1000 amateur arts events in various locations all over Slovenia \nWeeks of amateur culture ensure greater accessibility and mobility of cultural goods. The nationwide campaign is intended to support creators and promote amateur culture throughout Slovenia and abroad. The project is based on the example of similar projects in other European countries\, which draw attention to the importance\, quality and abundance of amateur creation every year. \nAll-Slovenian Weeks of amateur culture are marked by cultural events that take place throughout Slovenia and abroad in cooperation with the Association of Cultural Societies of Slovenia and regional branches of the JSKD together with many cultural societies and their associations\, cultural institutes\, local communities\, schools\, kindergartens\, libraries\, museums \, individuals… \nEvery year\, the All-Slovenian Weeks of Amateur Culture begin with a national opening in one of the Slovenian centers and continue with larger regional events that connect with more than 1\,000 local events throughout Slovenia. \nPURPOSE OF CULTURE LOVERS WEEKS \nThe purpose of the project is to recognize more than 107\,000 cultural creators who dedicate their energy and time to culture as an amateur (that is\, without payment for their work).
