It will connect 700 events across Slovenia into a single national pulse – from singing rehearsals\, theater performances and folklore meetings to exhibitions\, literary evenings and intergenerational workshops. The opening of the Festival will take place on May 17\, 2026 at 6 pm at Štanjel Castle as part of the national meeting Sosed tvojega breg\, which will feature authors who write in their native language. This year\, the festival proves that culture lives everywhere\, and that amateur culture is the backbone of local communities in both cities and the countryside\, in halls and outdoors.
